JCA 28, St. Pats 7

Joliet Catholic defeated St. Pats on Friday night in a showdown of two previously undefeated teams.

Unfortunately for JCA, they've suffered a loss bigger than the game. QB Brad Bourg left the game with what appeared to be a broken ankle with just 4 seconds left in the first half.

This coming just a week after Jake Trader suffered the equivalent of broken ribs in the win against St. Viator.

One big difference is this, the coaching staff expects Trader to return and contribute before this season is over. The same may not be said for Brad Bourg.

St. Pats scored on a 4th and 1 to make it 14-7 JCA with 4 seconds left in the half. After the extra point kick was good, St. Pats squibb kicked and Bourg was on the receiving end.

Junior QB Kiernan took over and guided the team to a 28-7 victory. Chris Clancy (92 yards rushing, 2 TDs) and Brad Bourg (83 yards rushing, TD) led No. 5 Joliet Catholic (3-0, 3-0) in the East Suburban Catholic Conference game at Hanson Stadium.

Wishing Brad Bourg a speedy recovery, and the best of health, to the rest of the Hillmen the rest of the season. Let's bring home #11.
