| McKeon earns All-America honors |

Former Joliet Catholic Academy football standout Bill McKeon has been named to the College Fanz All-American Team. McKeon, a senior wide receiver at Saint Xavier, helped the Cougars take the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League title.
Saint Xavier (13-1) advanced in postseason play and reached the NAIA semifinals.
Four other Cougar players and former area high school standouts were honored.
Junior defensive back Pat Geary (Lincoln-Way East) earned second-team recognition. Junior quarterback Anthony Kropp (Lincoln-Way East), junior wide receiver Mike Maher (Providence Catholic) and sophomore kicker Tom Lynch (JJC/Lincoln-Way East) claimed spots on the honorable mention squad.
