Christmas A Go Go!

Overview: As soon as a required sport of all Harvard college students, boxing is one of the college’s oldest traditions with well-known members ranging again to Teddy Roosevelt and past. A basic “boxer” or stylist (also referred to as an “out-fighter”) seeks to keep up distance between himself and his opponent, combating with sooner, longer range punches, most notably the jab, and steadily carrying his opponent down. It can be used to counter punch a jab, aiming for the opponent’s head (or a counter to a cross aimed at the physique) or to set up a hook.

If a “clinch” – a defensive move wherein a boxer wraps his or her opponents arms and holds on to create a pause – is broken by the referee, each fighter should take a full step back before punching once more (alternatively, the referee might direct the fighters to “punch out” of the clinch).

ESPN and Prime Rank are pulling levers to make the fights succeed. Each boxer enters into the ring from their assigned corners at the start of every round and must cease combating and return to their corner at the signalled end of each spherical. The clinch – Clinching is a form of trapping or a rough type of grappling and happens when the gap between both fighters has closed and straight punches cannot be employed.
